Who can have a STABLE account through Vermont ABLE?

Any resident of Vermont who developed a disability or blindness before the age of 26 and is eligible for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits, or has a signed Diagnosis Form from a licensed physician, can have a STABLE account through Vermont ABLE. If you are over 18 years old, you can open your own account; if not, an Authorized Legal Representative can do it. Either way, you can have only one ABLE account at a time.
